Abstract:
A wiper bracket 10 comprises a first bracket 11 and a second bracket 12. The first bracket 11 includes a single wiper support plate 13. A shaft support part 16 that supports a pivot shaft 9a is provided on the upper end portion of the wiper support plate 13. The upper end side of the wiper support plate 13 is secured to a dash panel 4. The second bracket 12 includes a front plate 18 secured to the lower end side of the first bracket 11, middle plates 19a, 19b which are bent from the lower end of the front plate 18 and which extend backward, and back plates 20a, 20b which are bent from the back ends of the middle plates 19a, 19b and which extend downward. Each of the middle plates 19a, 19b has an opening 23. A back region 25 of each of the middle plates 19a, 19b is narrower in width than a front region 26 and deforms readily in response to a load inputted in the front–back direction. The back plates 20a, 20b are secured to the dash panel 4.
