Abstract:
This wiper insert is configured as follows: included are three each of a first corner part and a second corner part alternately arranged in the insert circumferential direction, on a polygon surface; cutting blades include, for finish machining a workpiece, a first cutting blade, and a second cutting blade; and an outer circumferential surface includes a first flank surface, a second flank surface, and a first constraining surface located more outward in the insert radial direction than the second cutting blade. When viewed from the insert axial direction, the insert shape has 180° rotational symmetry around the rotation center axis that passes through the insert center axis and the second corner part adjacent to a prescribed first corner part on one side in the insert circumferential direction.
