Abstract:

A wiper motor (10) has: a reduction mechanism (29) for reducing the rotational speed of a motor shaft (25) and transmitting the reduced speed; and a motion conversion mechanism (31) for converting the rotational motion of the reduction mechanism (29) into a pivotal motion and transmitting the pivotal motion to the output shaft (30). A worm wheel (35) has formed therein a pair of first connection holes (50) and a pair of second connection holes (51), and the pairs of first and second connection holes (50, 51) are located at positions shifted in the radial direction from the axis of the worm wheel and are open on one end side of the worm wheel (35) in the axial direction. The worm wheel (35) can be used in common between the case in which the output shaft (30) is made to pivot within a first pivoting region and the case in which the output shaft (30) is made to pivot within a second pivoting region.
