Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to obtain a wire electro-discharge machining apparatus whereby shape accuracy of a continuous corner section can be improved. This wire electro-discharge machining apparatus is configured to be equipped with: a corner speed coefficient computation device that calculates a machining speed ratio between a corner intermediate section, which is where the machining volume takes a fixed value, and a linear section from a machining volume ratio between the corner intermediate section and the linear section; a corner speed coefficient interpolation device that interpolates a speed coefficient calculated by the corner speed coefficient computation device when in a pre-corner section and a post-corner section; a speed command computation device that calculates a machining speed command on the basis of a representative speed and the corner speed coefficient; a drive control device that controls a drive device; and a continuous corner detection device that determines overlapping of continuous corner sections when the length of a linear section that connects two corner sections is shorter than the length of the pre-corner section.
