Abstract:
Provided is a wire gripper with which it is possible to perform locking and unlocking operations regardless of the size of the diameter of a line material to be gripped, without a decrease in operation efficiency. The wire gripper 1 includes a body 2 above which a fixed wire-gripping portion 4 to be fitted onto a side of an electric wire is integrally provided. An actuation portion 8 is journaled freely rotatably with respect to the body 2. A movable wire-gripping portion 6 is journaled at a position opposing the fixed wire-gripping portion 4 rotatably with respect to the actuation portion 8. The fixed wire-gripping portion 4 is provided with a screw portion 12 including a screw shaft 12a and a knob 12b, as a shift mechanism for shift-operating a shift support portion 14. The shift support portion 14 is provided with an engagement pin 16 integrally moveably in a shift direction. A hook 18 engageable with the engagement pin 16 is rotatably journaled to the movable wire-gripping portion 6. In a state in which the hook 18 is engaged with the engagement pin 16, the knob 12b is turned to pull the movable wire-gripping portion 6 toward the fixed wire-gripping portion 4, whereby a locked state is achieved.
