Abstract:
Provided is a method for producing a wire harness, which is capable of preventing the occurrence of accidental deformation of a thermoplastic material or separation of the thermoplastic material. A predetermined portion of an electric wire (91) is housed in a cylindrical through hole, which is configured by combining a first nested member (123) and a second nested member (124) of a nozzle (12), by combining a first casing member (121) and a second casing member (122) of the nozzle (12) so as to hold the predetermined portion of the electric wire (91) therebetween. A thermoplastic material, which is plasticized by a material plasticizing means (11), is ejected onto the outer circumference of the predetermined portion of the electric wire (91) through thermoplastic material ejection ports (1213, 1223), which are provided on the nozzle (12), while relatively moving the predetermined portion of the electric wire (91) and the nozzle (12), so that a generally tube-like covering member (92) that covers the predetermined portion of the electric wire (91) is integrally molded from the thermoplastic material.
