Abstract:
The present invention improves the durability of a wire rope. A wire rope according to the present invention is provided with: a rope main body that comprises a strand which is formed of a plurality of element wires that are twisted with each other; a lubricant that is interposed among the plurality of element wires which constitute the strand; and a resin layer that covers the outer circumference of the rope main body together with the lubricant. The lubricant contains a sulfur-containing organic molybdenum compound.
