Abstract:
A wire saw processing machine superior in durability and capable of efficiently cutting work. A wire saw (10) is mounted around sheaves (12, 14, 16, 18) disposed substantially in a horizontal plane. The sheave (12) is rotated by a rotating motor (30) to drive the wire saw (10) horizontally. In a region defined by the wire saw (10) mounted around the sheaves (12, 14, 16, 18), stone (80) is placed on a truck (82). The truck (82) is provided with front wheels (83) and rear wheels (84) and is placed on a pair of rails (85) extending in a direction substantially orthogonal to the processing section (10A) of the wire saw (10). When the truck (82) is moved in the direction of arrow (F2) until stone (80) comes into abutment against the processing section (10A) from the inside of the region defined by the wire saw (10), the wire saw (10) smoothly curves in the same plane, so that fatigue is lessened and durability is improved to ensure cutting with high accuracy.
