Abstract:
The invention relates to a wire stitcher comprising a stitching cylinder that carries at least one stitching head and a closing cylinder that acts as a counter-support during the stitching process, said cylinders rotating respectively about a rotational axis and delimiting between them a nip for the passage of a printed product that is to be stitched. In said stitcher, the rotational axis of at least one of the two cylinders can be displaced transversally to the plane of the nip by means of a motor.
