Abstract:
In order to provide a wire stripping device and a wire stripping method capable of efficiently recovering aluminum from a waste material (covered wire) having aluminum as a core wire, the wire stripping device according to the present invention is provided with: a pair of cut-in rolls of which at least one has a rectangular recess portion formed therein for disposing a rectangular covered wire, and a cut-in blade disposed in the recess portion; a cut-in roll adjusting mechanism for adjusting the distance between the pair of cut-in rolls; a pair of rolling rolls for rolling the covered wire cut in by the pair of cut-in rolls; and a rolling roll adjusting mechanism for adjusting the distance between the pair of rolling rolls.
