Abstract:
Provided is a wireless apparatus in which it is possible to suppress any reduction in communication distance even when the height of the apparatus is limited. This wireless apparatus has: an antenna device configured from a substrate having a substrate ground, and an antenna element provided to the substrate; and a conductor formed in a U shape. The conductor has an upper-side part and a lower-side part that are vertically positioned along a ground surface, and an intermediate part that is positioned so as to be substantially perpendicular to the ground surface between one end of the upper-side part and one end of the lower-side part. The upper-side part, the lower-side part, and the intermediate part of the conductor are arranged so as to be respectively close to an upper-edge part, a lower-edge part, and a side-edge part of the antenna device. The upper-side part of the conductor is arranged near the antenna element, and the conductor functions as an antenna due to excitation of an electric current in the conductor when power is supplied to the antenna element.
