Abstract:
A wireless communication apparatus and a communication method thereof that
suppresses the power consumption to enable the function of notifying a received
signal intensity to an external device. A mobile telephone apparatus (1) has
a mobile telephone communication part (11) for communicating with a mobile telephone
base station (3) and also has a short-distance wireless communication part (13)
for communicating with a hands-free device (2) through a short-distance communication.
A control part determines and notifies a field intensity in the mobile telephone
communication part (11) to the hands-free device (2), which then displays the
communication status of the mobile telephone apparatus (1) on a display part
(23). The control part (12) of the mobile telephone apparatus (1) acquires, from
the external device currently connected by the short-distance wireless communication
part (13), device information related to the external device, and determines
whether it is necessary to notify the field intensity to the external device currently
connected. If it is not necessary, the control part disables the function of notifying
the field intensity.
