Abstract:
A wireless communication apparatus comprises: a determining unit for determining, as a format to be used, which one of a plurality of formats each defining a transport symbol to be transmitted to an apparatus on the other hand of communication; a control unit for deciding, based on the format determined by the determining unit, the type and sequence length of an orthogonal code to be used for placing ACK/NACK symbols in the same symbols in the same slot independently of a number of transport symbols that can be transmitted to the apparatus on the other hand of communication; a spreading unit for spreading the ACK/NACK symbols by use of the same type of orthogonal code in the plurality of formats established based on the type and sequence length of the orthogonal code decided by the control unit; and a transmitting unit for transmitting the spread ACK/NACK symbols by use of the determined format.
