Abstract:

A communication system suitable for various types of data to be transmitted/received is employed and process control in a factory is performed. A wireless communication apparatus for performing process control in a factory is provided with: an interface for connecting to a device and receiving data from the device; a first wireless communication unit; a second wireless communication unit; and a controller for selecting, in order to wirelessly transmit the data received via the interface, one of the first wireless communication unit and the second wireless communication unit in accordance with the data. The first wireless communication unit is configured so as to perform communication at a faster speed and with a greater volume than the second wireless communication unit, and the second wireless communication unit is configured so as to perform communication with higher reliability than the first wireless communication unit.
