Abstract:
The present invention prevents, by a simple configuration, the occurrence on any receiver side of an error in data discriminated on a receiver side due to attenuation of a wireless signal when communication is performed contactlessly. Provided is a wireless communication device having a first transmission unit provided to a first member, and a first reception unit provided to a second member, the relative distance from the first reception unit to the first transmission unit changing, wherein: the first transmission unit generates a first electric signal in which a pilot signal is superimposed on a first digital signal that is to be transmitted, and transmits a first wireless signal the intensity of which corresponds to the first electric signal; and the first reception unit generates a second electric signal that corresponds to the intensity of the received first wireless signal, detects a pilot signal component from the second electric signal, and amplifies the second electric signal in accordance with the amount of attenuation of the pilot signal component.
