Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a wireless communication device with which it is possible to reduce terminal power consumption and to inhibit impacts on communication by performing appropriate location information management of a terminal moving in the air. [Solution] Provided is a wireless communication device, comprising: a determination unit that determines whether the host machine is a device moving on the ground or a device moving in the air; a proximity cell determination unit that, in a case where the determination unit has determined that the host machine is a device moving in the air, determines whether identification information of a paging area acquired via common information transmitted from a base station is the same as identification information of the previously updated paging area; and a control unit that, in a case where the determination unit has determined that the host machine is a device moving in the air, assesses whether it is necessary to update the paging area on the basis of a condition for starting the update of the paging area.
