Abstract:
This wireless communication device (1) executes ad-hoc wireless communication with another wireless communication device so as to perform wireless communication across a plurality of ad-hoc wireless communication networks. The wireless communication device (1) is provided with: two wireless communication units (11) which switch between the VHF band and the UHF band in performing wireless communication; an assessment unit (12) which, when either wireless communication unit (11) is using the VHF band to perform wireless communication, assesses whether or not modification of the frequency band is required, and if the modification is necessary, additionally assesses whether or not there is a wireless communication device that will become incapable of wireless communication by using the UHF band; and a communication control unit (13) which, if an assessment is made that there is no device that will become incapable of wireless communication, switches the band to the UHF band, whereas if an assessment is made that there is a device that will become incapable of wireless communication, remains with the VHF band.
