Abstract:
Provided is a wireless communication device with which an antenna can communicate without protruding outside a main body. This wireless communication device is characterized by being provided with: a main body including a housing which is configured from a conductive material, and which has an opening provided therein connecting the interior and the exterior, and a cover for covering the opening in the housing; a fed antenna which is at least partially accommodated in the housing through the opening, is covered by the cover, and emits electromagnetic waves; and a parasitic antenna which is provided outside the housing, is provided either inside or to the surface of the cover, and couples with the electromagnetic field of the fed antenna. The wireless communication device is further characterized in that the phase of the current flowing through a fed-antenna section extending along the parasitic antenna is the same as the phase of the current flowing through a parasitic-antenna section extending along the fed antenna.
