Abstract:
Embodiments of the present application provide a wireless communication method and device, which reduces a delay of a status report at a transmitting end, enables the transmitting end to receive and process the status report earlier, prevents retransmission of a data packet that has been received by a receiving end, and conserves air interface bandwidth. The method comprises: after interrupted communication with a transmitting end is restored, a receiving end generating a plurality of radio link control (RLC) protocol data units, wherein each of the plurality of RLC protocol data units comprises a first status report, the first status report in each RLC protocol data unit is used to indicate status information of a plurality of consecutive data packets sent by the transmitting end and a sequence number of a start data packet of the plurality of consecutive data packets, and the status information of the plurality of consecutive data packets is used to indicate whether each of the plurality of consecutive data packets is received by the receiving end; and the receiving end transmitting the plurality of RLC protocol data units to the transmitting end.
