Embodiments of the present application provide a wireless communication method and a terminal device, which can effectively distribute power between carriers and panels, thereby guaranteeing the uplink transmission performance of multiple carriers on multiple panels on the premise that the transmission power satisfies carrier and panel restrictions. The wireless communication method comprises: a terminal device determines a first transmission power of each of multiple antenna panels on each of at least one carrier; the terminal device performs, according to the first transmission power of each antenna panel on each carrier, power distribution of each antenna panel on the at least one carrier so as to obtain a second transmission power of each antenna panel on each carrier; and the terminal device performs, according to the second transmission power of each antenna panel on each carrier, power distribution of the multiple antenna panels on each of the at least one carrier.
