Abstract:
Provided are: a wireless communication system which is capable of swiftly and reliably returning user devices in an idle state to a connected state, in cases when a vast number of user devices (UE) are connected to a wireless network like a cellular internet of things (CIoT); a wireless base station; a mobility management entity; a user device; and a communication control method. The communication control method includes: a step in which, in cases when a UE has transitioned from a connected state to an idle state, an eNB forwards, to an MME, the AS context, i.e. the context of the access layer between the UE and the eNB; a step in which the MME transmits the AS context to the eNB in accordance with an AS context acquisition request from the eNB; and a step in which the wireless base station uses the AS context transmitted from the MME, to return the UE to a connected state.
