Abstract:
Provided is a wireless communication system that is capable of efficient wireless communication with a moving body. The present invention comprises: a plurality of terrestrial wireless devices 250 that are installed along a track on which a train 200 travels, transceive radar signals on a first frequency, and transceive communication signals on a second frequency different from the first frequency; an onboard wireless device 220, installed in the train 200, that transceives communication signals on the second frequency; and a switching controller 280 that, on the basis of the reception level of the radar signals from the plurality of terrestrial wireless devices 250, controls switching of the terrestrial wireless devices 250 with which the onboard wireless device 220 communicates. Terrestrial wireless devices 250 with which the onboard wireless device 220 is communicating simultaneously transmit a radar signal and a communication signal, and terrestrial wireless devices 250 with which the onboard wireless device 220 is not communicating transmit a radar signal but do not transmit a communication signal.
