Abstract:
The objective of the present invention is to obtain a wireless communication system with which another wireless communication device can be discovered in a short period of time, said system being provided with a plurality of wireless communication devices that include an active scan terminal and a passive scan terminal, wherein: the active scan terminal transmits a probe request frame from one frequency channel, then transmits probe request frames continuously from other frequency channels without awaiting a response frame from the other wireless communication device, and then transmits a probe request frame from a response channel, which is a standby channel, and awaits a response from the passive scan terminal; the probe request frame has information for an offset time until response and response channel information superposed therein; and after receiving the probe request frame, the passive scan terminal transmits a response frame from a frequency channel, which is designated by the response channel information, after the offset time until response has elapsed.
