Abstract:
A wireless communication system comprises a macrocell base station apparatus, a small-scale base station apparatus the cell of which is a partial area of the cell of the macrocell base station apparatus, and a mobile station apparatus. The macrocell base station apparatus or small-scale base station apparatus includes a notifying unit for notifying, to the mobile station apparatus, small-scale base station information indicating the small-scale base station apparatus to which the mobile station apparatus can be handed over, while the mobile station apparatus includes a handover-destination selecting unit for selecting a handover destination on the basis of the notified small-scale base station information, whereby the increase in load of processing in the mobile station apparatus can be suppressed, while handovers can be suppressed.
