Abstract:
This wireless communication system comprises: an RF receiving unit that receives a wireless signal from a terminal; a channel estimation unit that estimates channel information for a wireless transmission path between a terminal and a wireless device on the basis of a wireless signal received by the RF receiving unit; a demodulation unit that performs soft decision demodulation on the wireless signal on the basis of channel information estimated by the channel estimation unit; a quantization unit that performs quantization of the log-likelihood ratio obtained by the soft decision demodulation performed by the demodulation unit, on the basis of a statistical distribution defined by the average value of the log-likelihood ratio defined according to the modulation scheme used in the wireless communication with the terminal and the estimate of dispersion of the log-likelihood ratio obtained on the basis of channel information; and a decoding unit that performs decoding on the log-likelihood ratio quantized by the quantization unit.
