Abstract:
[Problem] To enable a wireless communication means, which further improves wireless resource usage efficiency, to be selected and switched in correspondence to a congestion situation of wireless communication or wireless communication quality in a terminal station and a base station in which a plurality of wireless communication means having different levels of corresponding communication performance are mounted. [Solution] In a wireless communication system in which a base station is provided with a plurality of wireless communication means respectively corresponding to a plurality of levels of communication performance, and which selects, for a terminal station that has performed a connection request, a wireless communication means according to the communication performance thereof, the base station is provided with a control means which: holds, for each wireless communication means, terminal station connection allowance information that indicates an allowance condition as to whether to allow the connection request from the terminal station according to the communication performance; collates the communication performance of the terminal station with the terminal station connection allowance information of the wireless communication means which has performed the connection request; and establishes a wireless connection with the terminal station, when the communication performance of the terminal station matches the allowance condition, and induces a wireless connection to another wireless communication means to which the allowance condition for the terminal station matches, when the allowance condition is not matched.
