Abstract:
The present invention is applicable to a wireless communication system provided with mobile terminals and base stations for managing cells to which the mobile terminals connect. The wireless communication system of the present invention has a new cell detection unit for detecting a new cell for which operations have started or have resumed or for which the geographical range of the cell has been modified from among neighbor cells which neighbor the cells to which the mobile terminals connect, and a neighbor cell list generation unit which preferentially registers the new cell which has been detected by the new cell detection unit into a neighbor cell list into which neighbor cells which are to be candidates for handover destinations of the mobile terminals have been registered.
