Abstract:
The objective of the present invention is for a mobile station served by a relay station to continue wireless communication even if RLF occurs between a base station and the relay station. In order to achieve this objective, in a wireless communication system wherein a relay station relays wireless communication between a base station and a mobile station, the relay station is provided with an acquisition unit and a notification unit. The acquisition unit acquires, from a base station which holds information for the mobile station used in the wireless communication, identification information for the base station. A notification unit notifies the mobile station of the identification information which has been acquired from the acquisition unit. In addition, the mobile station is provided with a connection re-establishment unit. If the connection with the relay station is released, the connection re-establishment unit makes a connection re-establishment request to the base station identified by the identification information which has been notified by the relay station.
