Provided is a wireless communication system in which a first base station device and a second base station device communicate with a terminal device. The first base station device transmits wireless resource setting information including wireless bearer setting information for the first base station device or the second base station device to the terminal device. When the terminal device receives the wireless resource setting information and detects RLC failure with respect to the first base station device, the terminal device executes a re-establishment procedure. When the terminal device receives the wireless resource setting information and detects RLC failure with respect to the second base station device, the terminal device transmits a message to the first base station device indicating that RLC failure was detected with respect to the second base station device and stops a wireless bearer with respect to the second base station device.
