Abstract:

A wireless communication system is provided with a plurality of sub-systems. Each of the plurality of sub-systems includes one base unit and sub-units that wirelessly communicate with the base unit. The base unit is configured to transmit a first wireless signal during a first time period common to the plurality of sub-systems and to wait for a second wireless signal during a second time period which is after the first time period and is common to the plurality of sub-systems. The sub-units are configured so that after receiving the first wireless signal the sub-units transmit the second wireless signal during the second time period. The base unit is configured so that the base unit transmits the first wireless signal during a time period during the first time period that differs from the time periods of the base units of other sub-systems.
