Disclosed is a wireless communication terminal which accurately measures the channel quality of a neighboring cell which is in a state not receiving interference from the cell of the wireless communication terminal. The wireless communication terminal is connected to a relay station and can receive data from at least one of the following: the relay station, a base station, and another relay station different from the previous relay station. The wireless communication terminal is provided with: a reception unit which receives signals from the destination relay station, said signals including control information for measuring the channel quality of the non-destination base station or other relay station; an extraction unit which extracts control information from the signals received at the reception unit; a measurement unit which measures, based on the control information, the channel quality of the non-destination base station or other relay station, at a region in which the destination relay station is not transmitting other signals to the terminal; and a transmission unit which transmits, to the destination relay station, the measurements results, measured at the measurement unit, of the channel quality of the non-destination base station or other relay station.
