Abstract:
The present invention relates to a wireless key which has a plurality of operating modes and which is used for passing through an access door, and an access control system comprising the wireless key, the wireless key comprising: a wireless antenna; a timer for outputting an event signal according to a predetermined time value; a modulation and demodulation part for demodulating a signal received through the wireless antenna and modulating a signal to be transmitted through the wireless antenna; and a control part connected to the modulation and demodulation part, wherein the control part, in response to the event signal outputted from the timer, converts into a first operating mode or a second operating mode on the basis of reception of a data packet from the modulated signal, operates in the first operating mode on the basis of a first frequency clock signal, and operates in the second operating mode on the basis of a second frequency clock signal having a higher frequency than the frequency of the first frequency clock signal. The use of the present invention results in the effects that the power consumption of the wireless key can innovatively be reduced and the security of the access door can be enhanced.
