Abstract:
Using a simple architecture, this wireless communication device performs non-contact charging and high-speed wireless communication with an opposing device without the need for high-precision positioning with respect to said opposing device. Said wireless communication device contains a non-contact charging unit and a wireless communication unit. Via a coil, the non-contact charging unit sends electrical power to the opposing device without contact. The wireless communication unit contains a plurality of antennas laid out at roughly equal distances from the center of the central axis of the coil. When the non-contact charging unit is sending electrical power to the opposing device, the wireless communication unit transmits data wirelessly via the antennas.
