The present invention relates to the field of communications, particularly to a wireless network evolution method, the method comprising: a data center determines an area of cooperative communication in advance; the data center divides the area into grids, and determines grid points on the grids; the data center determines whether the number of grid points satisfying a signal coverage requirement reach a preset proportion; and if not, then the data center executes a preset processing solution according to the position of a grid point not satisfying the signal coverage requirement so as to enable the number of grid points satisfying the signal coverage requirement to reach the preset proportion. By determining whether the number of grid points satisfying the signal coverage requirement reaches the preset proportion, the present invention determines whether a wireless network evolution is required, and if so, then executes the preset processing solution according to the position of a grid point not satisfying the signal coverage requirement, thus quickly advancing the evolution of a wireless network, and reducing a layout cost.
