Abstract:
Disclosed is a wireless power transmitter for charging a wireless power receiver. The wireless power transmitter comprises: a power transmission unit configured to transmit power for charging a wireless power receiver using current applied to the power transmission unit; a communication module configured to receive, from the wireless power receiver, an out-band signal associated with communication; and a control unit configured to control the current to be applied to the wireless power transmitter in order to transmit the power in response to the reception of the out-band signal associated with communication from the wireless power receiver.
