Abstract:
The present disclosure provides a wireless power transmitting apparatus and a method for wirelessly transmitting power by the wireless power transmitting apparatus. The wireless power transmitting apparatus of the present disclosure comprises: a power amplifier; a coil which is connected to the power amplifier and generates an electromagnetic field on the basis of power received from the power amplifier; an impedance sensing circuit connected between the power amplifier and the coil; at least one auxiliary coil arranged to be electromagnetically coupled to the coil; and a controller, wherein the controller may identify a change in impedance, from a signal sensed through the impedance sensing circuit, and adjust an operation setting of the at least one auxiliary coil on the basis of the identified change in impedance. Various other embodiments may be applied to the wireless power transmitting apparatus of the present disclosure and the method for wirelessly transmitting power by the wireless power transmitting apparatus.
