Abstract:
A wireless relay device (1), in a storage unit provided to the wireless relay device (1), the MAC addresses of wireless terminals (2a, 2b) and the IP addresses assigned to the wireless terminals (2a, 2b) by a DHCP server (5) on an IP network (4). The wireless relay device (1) monitors packets passing through the wireless relay device for MAC address and IP address information for transmission origin wireless terminals and transmission destination wireless terminals, and when it is determined on the basis of the address information stored in the storage unit that communication between the wireless terminal (2a) and the wireless terminal (2b) is passing through the wireless relay device, the wireless relay device switches from a first communication mode that utilizes the IP network (4) to a second communication mode that does not utilize the IP network (4).
