Abstract:
Information stored in a wireless tag attached in a storage area can be repeatedly read, and inventory of articles relating to the same storage area is efficiently and correctly made. A reader (110) reads tag identifying information from an area tag (Ta) attached to the storage shelf (102) for articles (101) and from article tags (Tb) attached to the articles (101). The reader (110) determines whether the tag identifying information of the area tag (Ta) has been read or not, based on the read tag identifying information. Then, when it is determined that the tag identifying information of the area tag (Ta) is read, the reader (110) transmits reactivating information which returns the state of the area tag (Ta) being in the information unreadable state to the information readable state.
