Abstract:
Provided is a wireless terminal device that can reliably prevent delays in information reception while minimizing power consumption. Said wireless terminal device (400) has: an application unit (403) that acquires and uses service data from a wireless base station via wireless communication, said service data including a plurality of data to be acquired at different prescribed intervals; a wireless communication unit (402); a service coverage determination unit (405); and a start-up control unit (401). On the basis of the service data acquired via wireless communication, the service coverage determination unit (405) determines whether any of the plurality of data can by acquired via wireless communication. If at least one of the plurality of data can be acquired via wireless communication, the start-up control unit (401) controls the starting and stopping of the wireless communication unit (402) so as to wirelessly communicate at the prescribed interval corresponding to the acquirable datum. If none of the plurality of data can be acquired via wireless communication, the start-up control unit (401) controls the starting and stopping of the wireless communication unit (402) so as to wirelessly communicate at the shortest of the plurality of prescribed intervals.
