Title:
WOOD-BASED FLOW-MOLDING DIE, WOOD-BASED FLOW-MOLDING-DIE SYSTEM USING SAME, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING MOLDED ARTICLE THAT IS MADE OF PLANT-BASED MATERIAL
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2018/096820
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
To provide a wood-based flow-molding die for industrially manufacturing good wood-based flow-molded articles, the present invention provides a die used in flow-molding in which pressure and heat are applied to a plant-based material, such as wood or bamboo, to cause the positions of wood-based cells to change relative to each other, thus deforming the material. The base material of the die is an alloy tool steel having a Rockwell hardness HRC of 55 or more. The die has a chromium-nitride coating on the surface to be brought into contact with the plant-based material during molding, has a mirror-finished surface having a surface roughness Ra of 0.1 μm or less, and has a coefficient of friction of 0.2 or less with respect to the plant-based material in a softening temperature range, in a non-lubricated state within the pressure range of 10 to 400 MPa.
