Description:
Description Wooden Shingling Fieid of the invention

The present invention relates to "Wooden Shingling" which is used as coating material to provide water, heat and sound insulation in constructions and to protect the construction from external effects.

The invention particularly relates to wooden shingling which is used as coating material in the parts of constructions such as roof, frontispiece and consists of a bottom layer and panels that are compose of wooden components applied on this bottom layer.

Background of the invention

At the present time, in order to protect buildings from external effects and to provide water, heat and sound insulation, various coating materials are used. And, at the present time, especially in roof parts, the most preferred coating material is shingling. In the existing technique, "red cedar" is used in manufacture of wooden shinglings and the wood is applied by being nailed one by one. However, at the present time, this process is both inconvenient in terms of labor and taking long time.

In the research conducted related to shingling, the application numbered TR 2011/04868 and titled "PVC shingling" is found. Mentioned application is related to a shingling which is used as coating material especially on the roof of closed, open or semi-open constructions such as building, factory, storehouse, veranda; protects the environment from the effects of climatic conditions; provides water insulation in air conditions such as rain and snow and compose of "PVC polymer" based layer obtained by adding preferably admixture material and/or filling material, and/or an upper layer formed on that layer in optional texture and/or forms and/or colors. Another application related to shinglings is the application numbered TR2011/06643 titled "Shinglings with 3 dimensional image". This application discloses a shingling having a 3 dimensional image, which has a narrower recess width than the protrusion end, comprising recesses and protrusions having different values from one of these width sizes and mounted on each other.

As it is seen, at the present time, in the known state of the technique, there are developments about shinglings. However, in aforecited applications, it was no mentioned configurations that will provide ease of application. Moreover, existing asphalt shinglings remain incapable in heat and sound insulation.

Consequently, in a current situation, it is need of a development in this technique area, due to the abovementioned disadvantages and the inefficiency of existing solutions about the subject.

Object of the invention

The present invention relates to wooden shingling which removes the abovementioned disadvantages.

An object of the wooden shingling which is subject of the invention is to enable to perform storage, sales and application processes in the panel form, by bringing the wood into panel form by pre-production. Thus, these processes will be facilitated.

Another object of the invention is to provide an easy application and reduction in labor costs and to save time. A further object of the invention is to provide contribution to the environment and economy by obtaining all the materials, which are used in production, from recycling. Still a further object of the invention is to obtain a strong construction by using wood impregnated by vacuum pressure method (all impregnated and/or heat- processed timber, impregnated pine being in particular). Another object of the invention is to provide higher heat and sound insulation compared to the coatings used in the state of the art.

In order to fulfil the advantages above, the invention relates to a wooden shingling used as coating material in constructions. The invention is characterized by at least one panel formed by a bottom layer and wooden parts applied on said bottom layer in such a way to be applied as a whole and at once on the surface to be coated.

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, said bottom layer is membrane which is composed of PVC, polyester, plastic or polymer etc. Thus, strong insulation is provided for every kind of air conditions.

In another preferred embodiment of the invention, there is a connection material which fixes said wooden parts to said bottom layer. Said connection material may be sticker (glue), staple, etc.

Description of the Figures

Detailed Description of the invention

This detailed description discloses the preferred alternatives of the wooden shingling (5), which is subject of the invention, for a better understanding of the subject without creating any limiting effects,

In Figure 1, the wooden shingling (5), subject of the invention, can be seen as applied on a roof surface (4). According to this, before the coating process, panels (3) are obtained by applying wooden parts (1) on the bottom layer (2) seen in Figure 3. Said panels (3) are applied on the surface (4) to be coated, in a whole at once.

The bottom layer (2) and the wooden part (1) as applied on said bottom layer (2) are seen in Figure 2. The panels (3) forming the wooden shingling (5) are built by aligning and fixing the impregnated wooden parts (1) on the bottom layer (2). The fixing process is performed by connection materials. These materials may preferably be staple, sticker, etc. Said bottom layer (2) may be polyester, plastic, polymer etc. membrane, PVC being in particular. Panels (3) formed via fixing desired number of wooden parts (1) on the bottom layer (2), depending on the area of the surface to be coated, are laid and fixed on the surface to be coated (4) at once. Said wooden part (1) may be selected from all impregnated and/or heat-processed timber types, impregnated pine being in particular.
