This storage/retrieval work assistance system: stores first encoding information included in optical recognition codes that are attached to respective multiple loads; obtains the first encoding information included in the optical recognition code that is attached to a load to undergo work among the multiple loads; automatically obtains location information of a wireless communication terminal for work; and associates the stored first encoding information with the obtained location information of the wireless communication terminal for work.
