Disclosed are a work location specification device and method for walls inside a space used in work such as the maintenance and inspection of the interior of a space, such as a boiler furnace, that is surrounded by wall surfaces, which are able to display and specify the location of an inspection site on the wall surface of a wall inside a space. A work location specification device for walls inside a space, which specifies the location where inspection work is being performed on walls inside a space that is surrounded by front, rear, left, and right side walls, and upper and lower walls, is provided with a laser illuminator, equipped with a tilt and twist mechanism, which is disposed on the wall inside a space so that the laser can be shone on any point on the various wall surfaces of the walls inside a space, an input means, whereby inspection site location data is input, and a controller, which controls the laser illuminator to shine the laser on the inspection site based on the location data of the inspection site that has been input in the input means.
