Abstract:
In the present invention, a work machine is provided with a rotation-rate-setting unit, a rotation-rate-regulating unit, and a control-characteristics-determining unit. The rotation-rate-setting unit sets a target rate of rotation of a cooling fan on the basis of the temperature of a coolant and control characteristics by which the temperature of the coolant and the target rate of rotation of the cooling fan are associated. The rotation-rate-regulating unit regulates the actual rate of rotation of the cooling fan so that the target rate of rotation is reached. The control-characteristics-determining unit determines the control characteristics so that the target rate of rotation set on the basis of the temperature of the coolant within a coolant temperature range at which a thermostat is fully closed to fully open is a value that differs according to the temperature of the external air.
