Abstract:
Provided is a work machine that is equipped with a control unit (9) that executes region restriction control in respect to a work device (1A). The control unit (9) comprises: a position computing unit (21) that calculates the position, on an operating plane, of the tip end (first reference point (P1)) of a bucket and the rear end (second reference point (Q1)) of the bucket; and a first distance computing unit (22) that calculates the distances (PC1, QC1) in the operating plane to the target face A to be controlled, from the first reference point (P1) and the second reference point (Q1), respectively. When the smaller of the two distances (PC1, QC1) is no greater than a threshold (T1) during region restriction control, the control unit (9) corrects an operation signal output from an operation lever device (4) so as to reduce the operating speed of a hydraulic actuator (3b) that is the target of the operation signal.
