Abstract:
Provided is a work machine with improved operatability. The work machine comprises: a motor 14; an assist power supply unit 50 that is connected to battery packs 5A and 5B and boosts a DC output voltage output from at least one among the battery packs 5A and 5B, thereby outputting the voltage to the motor 14; an AC-side power booster circuit 32 that is electrically connected in parallel with the assist power supply unit 50 to the motor 14 and is also connected to an external AC power supply 39 and boosts the output voltage of the AC power supply 39, thereby outputting the voltage to the motor 14; and a control unit that performs assist control for controlling the boost amounts of the assist power supply unit 50 and the AC-side power booster circuit 32 such that the electric power output from each of the assist power supply unit 50 and the AC-side power booster circuit 32 is synthesized and supplied to the motor 14, wherein the control unit changes the content of the assist control according to the remaining capacity of the battery packs 5A and 5B.
