Abstract:
[Problem] To provide superior technology pertaining to the attachment and detachment of a clamp member for holding a tool bit. [Solution] An electric oscillating tool (100) is provided with: a spindle (120); a clamp shaft (123) that is capable of movement relative to the spindle (120); and a clamp shaft holding member (131) that threadingly engages with the clamp shaft (123). The electric oscillating tool (100) is configured so that the clamp shaft holding member (131) threadingly engages with the clamp shaft (123) so that the clamp shaft (123) is held fixed in relation to the spindle (120), thereby causing a blade (200) to be held between a flange (122) and a clamp head (124). The electric oscillating tool (100) is also provided with: a thrust pin (140) that engages with the clamp shaft holding member (131) and rotates the clamp shaft holding member (131); and an engagement release means for releasing the engagement between the thrust pin (140) and the clamp shaft holding member (131) in the event that the torque acting on the thrust pin (140) when the thrust pin (140) rotates the clamp shaft holding member (131) is equal to or greater than a prescribed torque value.
