Abstract:
With respect to an electric drive system in which no battery is connected to a DC bus, the present invention makes it possible to avoid stopping the operation of an inverter due to the DC bus voltage dropping below the inverter operating voltage even if the load on a traction motor increases suddenly. To achieve this, a DC bus voltage drop prevention device performs control so that: if the voltage of the DC bus falls below a first threshold, the output torque of the traction motor is reduced in response to the decrease in the voltage of the DC bus; and if the voltage of the DC bus drops below a second threshold that is lower than the first threshold, the output torque of the traction motor is reduced to zero, or to a value within the range of such magnitude as to keep the work vehicle in a stopped state on flat ground.
