Abstract:
When the shape of the board surface of a circuit board is approximated to assume a
curved surface model, an auxiliary point to be measured is set on the board surface in
addition to a point to be measured and eligibility as the amount of sampling displacement
in assuming the curved surface model depending on the difference in the amount
of the displacement from the working reference surfaces is determined. When
it is determined that there is no eligibility, a new point to be measured is set.
These ensure that increase or decrease in the amount of local displacement due
to a discontinuous surface of the board does not affect the assumption of the curved
surface model. As a result, a curved board model more approximated to the shape
of an actual board surface is assumed, and the working height is adjusted to a proper
height to improve the work quality.
