Abstract:

In a mounting head unit (17), the rotational position of a suction nozzle (42) is detected at a position where a first Q-axis encoder (73) faces a component holding part (55) (including a syringe member (56) and the suction nozzle (42)) for holding a component (P). The rotational position in an area where the component (P) is held is detected, and thus information can be obtained which better reflects the orientation of the component (P), in comparison to when the rotational position of the suction nozzle (42) is detected by an encoder (64) of a Q-axis motor (63). It is preferable that, in the mounting head unit (17), the orientation of the component holding part (55) be detected at two places, namely at the suction nozzle (42) and the syringe member (56). As a result, the state (deformation such as torsion) of the syringe member (56), and displacement between the syringe member (56) and the suction nozzle (42) can be detected.
